Like the title suggests, id like to know how to bridge an amp.

I have a SPLX 800w 4 channel amp and vibe slick 475w (160w RMS) 6x9's. Im just running these off 2 of the channels at the moments so i dont think theyre running to full potential, even though they already sound awesome. However i dont want to add a sub because i use my boot a lot, but id like to use the 2 spare channels if it is possible.

If i bridged the 4 channels into 2 channels could i get even more performance out of the speakers? If so, how do i do this bridging and will it damage my amp or speakers? Will it increase the performance of the speakers by much?

If anyone has a detailed step-by-step guide it would be VERY much appreciated.

Ive searched around on google and most of the information seems to be misleading and bull****. It says something like using the + on the left channel and the - on the right channel, and doing this for both speakers. Then connecting the redundant terminals (ie the - on the left and the + on the right) using a peice of wire. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Yep thats correct.

However, I truly doubt they sound awesome. If you want it better, I'd buy a set of components up front and amp them :)

by the sounds of it you are talking about active speaker set up. its alot more complicated than just bridging the amp the run the speakers.

and if your not talking about active then you are talking about running your speakers at 2ohm??? most front component speakers are 4ohm i believe

i think thats roughly right :\

EDIT: If all else fails look in the amp manual and speaker manual
