Been chatting to Martin () today, and hes been helping me sort out my ICE.

What else will I need?
Any additional wires?

Tweeters?
Crossovers?
Speaker housing?
If you have any other suggestions for my amp/headunit/comps, let me know!!

You need:
Fascia adaptor - makes the HU fit in the car
17cm Speaker mounts - makes the speakers fit in the holes
8AWG wiring kit - power and sound wiring to the amp
13m Speaker wire - get the sound to the speakers
Steering wheel control adaptors
That's about it I think.
Martin said an ISO block? :o

If your corsa is 04 onwards you will need a quadlock adapter thing, they're about £40 if i remember rightly, if it's before 04 then you don't need a thing (maybe an aerial adapter)

Pull stereo out, if stereo comes out on its own, look into cage and you should see 3 plugs each with about 8 pins on them. If a cable comes with the stereo then it's the later version.

You've confused me now.
If the cable is joined to the stereo its the later version, if there are just sockets on the stereo its the earlier one?
Can you tell by the model number? :]

Just get your one of your mams old wire coat hangers out, cut the corners off so you get two release key like items, stick them into the stereo and pull the booger out. That way you'll learn how to take a stereo out of a corsa and what type of wiring you have.

mate i have steering wheel controls adaptors that work on the CanBUS (New style) wiring system which includes an adaptor to change from Canbus to ISO and retain the use or your steering wheels, for alpine aswell but can be used with most makes with a £5 patch lead.
Cost me £50 from halfords about 2 months ago hardly used as I sold the car.
