ok just ordered a set of angel eye headlights to replace my facelifts. is this just a straight swap or is there any extra wiring involved? also is there any loss in visibility when using these lights?

yes vision is excptionally poor if you are coming from pre-facelift lights

i have been told that many times....the only way to improve is to fit HID
I think the vision things a load a b*ll*cks. I've got angels with Xenon power bulbs and they are way brighter than my standard pre facelifts.
A far as wiring is concerned, all you have to do is wire up the 3 red wires to the white sidelight wire, and the 3 black wires to the black wire. I only wired the 4 halo wires tho and left the other 2 wires as they're for the LED light which looks a bit sh*t. I also removed my sidelight bulb as the halos alone acting as your sidelights look a hell of a lot better. Anyway once you've done that tiny bit of wiring it's just a case of unplug and plug.
there is a very smal amount of wiring to do
like one wire per light

my vision is just as good as my facelifts were mate. i didnt wire up my side light bulb i just have the 2 halos as my sidelights, by wiring the ground to ground (makes sense) and then putting a bullet connector on the 2 positive halo wires and pulling the original sidelight bullet out of the connector (white wire on mine) and plugging the new halo bullet into it. works for me! i also fitted my motors which actually work quite well, but that was a right ball ache, cutting connectors to fit, screws, all that crap.

i'm starting to get quite confused lol i think i'm just too tired. can somebody please give me a simplified version of what i have to do??? am i basically just connecting the halo positive wires to the sidelight positives and the grounds to the ground wire?? what colour are these? i don't know what i'm doing lol

halo positives - red
halo negatives - black.
halo negatives - twist them together and you will see a small screw on the dipped beam bulb holder, unscrew this, wrap the negative (grounds) to this and tighten.
halo positives - twist them together and fit a bullet connector to the end of them. with the cover off the back of the lights you will see a white wire with a connection in the middle, this is the sidelight wire. seperate this and connect your negative (red) bullet connector to where the original sidelight bulb was. is that any help mate. ive tried to put it as simple as i can but i have no pics as mine are on the car.

Vision is infact better as long as you upgrade your bulbs. My xenon 6500k bulbs in my black angels give me better vision than my pre-facelifts did.
You dont have to take the bumper off (for pre-facelift, not sure about facelift)
i had a full bulb upgrade with mine n the vision is crap, esp with just the halos as sidelights
