Alternator whine/squeal

Hey,
Has anyone got any suggestions for why an alternator would make a squealing sound come directly from it, and as a result can be heard through the car speakers? As this is the case in mine :(

you mean whine rather than squeal and that's because of interference.

Run power down one side of your car, RCAs and Speaker wire down the other

Nooo guys sorry if I didn't explain it clearly, this is NOT alternator whine like you would expect as in whine through the speakers on their own, I mean the alternator itself is makin the noise :)

I found this out because I did all the usual wires down separate sides, check all earths, earth RCAs, etc etc and finally realised it's actually the alternator itself at fault. :(
