heres my set up:
2 6x9 and sub runnin off amp with 2 inputs
all works well however i now have a new amp to run the sub off so that i can run 6x9 and components off the amp i already had, i have been told i need a distribution block to split the power cable into two so i can power both amps can i not just put a cable from the positive power input of the 1st amp to the power of the 2nd? if not what do i need in a distribution block?fuses?voltage meter? and how do i know if the power cable that is already in the car will be able to handle the current being drawn by 2 amps? both amps are 1000w peak not rms and i do not have a clue wat gauge the cable is. anyone got any idea?

P.S. i know every1's views on havig 6x9 in the back and the pressure from the sub distorting them before 50 ppl say it lol

its better to be safe, get some 4 guage cable, buy a fused distribution block and split the 4 guage to 2 8 guage to each amp..thats what i have done with 2 JBL 75.2 amps both running 300rms each

Very much a no there.

Voltage in series is shared between components so the 2 amps would share the 14 volts input. If they loaded half and half you would be attempting to run amps off of 7 volts. For an amp with protection it will simply not turn on, for an amp without protection it will cause a fire.
