if you have a copy of Nero, burn music files as data instead of audio, this will burn them as MP3

I use Nero to make my Mp3 discs. It depends on what bitrate your mp3s are to how many you can get on a disc.

You can get a 30 day trial of nero from Here (http://www.nero.com/en/nero-prog.html)

Give it a whirl mate, it's easy and one of the best pieces of software about for burning discs

Yeah done mp3 discs a few time for my hu. Just write all the mp3 files to a CD in mp3 format (data cd not audio cd) then stick it in your hu and will play it fine.

just copy the albums u want, open the cd drive and paste them in there. when u click "burn to disc",it will ask if you want music format or something. U need to choose the option that burns it as a data disc; so if it asks if u want a music disc, click NO. I cant explain in much more detail :?

where have you got the mp3's from? if you downloaded them, some download sites like napster (i think) only allow you to download the tracks to your pc and not write them to a cd...

just a thaught.

also try a different make of cd-r.. i have a cd player that will not play traxdata cd's but will play everthing else. worth a try . ..

you could be burning a wma cd. if your using windows media player to copy songs from a disk onto your pc, they will copy as wma (windows meadia audio) these files dont work on mp3 players. you can either convert all your wma files to mp3 using a convertor ( search www.zdnet.com or you can download a thing called xpack. which is a plug in for media player which lets you save the files as mp3. let me know if this helps.

if u download a music player called musicmatch, u can convert your wma files into mp3. There is a lot of software available out there to convert, music match is just an example. It also lets you set the bitrate and stuff, which is cool. U might even be able to do it in media player?

22-03-2005, 15:12
wats the best bit rate???

Jamin100
22-03-2005, 15:13
the higher the better but generally anything higher than 128 . . . i usually go for 160 or 192

djharris
22-03-2005, 16:11
the best bitrate is bout 128kps for car lil lower than cd quality, by the way i think mp3 on thefront meansit can just play them if made by audio cd not mp3 discs cuz these are different i think
