I have just installed some rainbow component speakers and an audison amp and unfortunately I am getting a high pitched beeping noise from the tweeters.

The beep isn't affected by the volume but I can hear it all the time. (Unless I play my music loud enough). If I unplug the RCA leads going to the amp I can still hear the beep. Also the beep seems to be generated by electrics inside the car. For example...If I switch the ignition on, not starting the car, and press the accelerator I can hear it in the tweeters.

Its really odd and I cannot figure out what to do. Any ideas?

Thank you!

Aaron

Sounds like the speaker cable is getting interference from the car's electrics. See if you can trace the cable and see if it goes past or through any bunches of cables. Try to seperate them as much as possible.

I tried the ground loop isolator and it didn't work.
I shall try and seperate my cables as much as possible.
Thank you!

I just feel rather bad. I spent quite a bit of money on this lot and it sounds awful. I put it in with no problems. But it just doesn't seem right.

Are you using new speaker cable or the existing cable?

I am using new wiring in the car. To get from the car to the doors I used the existing line (In the socket thing). But that was only a short distance.
