Ive got about £500 to spend on a sub and an amp. Do you think it would be better to buy 2 10" or 12" subs or just one big powerful 15". If i want to run my 6x9's off of the amp do i need a 4 channel. Wot amp and sub would be the best to buy for this money.

the sub choice (size wise) depends what style of music your going to listen to in the car :P

i.e. if your going to be listening to hip-hop then 12's or 15's are ok. if you like really fast techno, then 2x10's is going to be better than a 15.

ultimately for that type of money it would be better to get really good quality 10/12 rather than 15. theres also not much between 10's and 12's to be honest.

I have a 4+1 Ch Alpine Amp. I run my front door components on 2 channels, my 6x9's of another 2 and the sub has a dedicated channel. I'm only running one 12" at the mo, but it really does depend on what you are listening to

I'd suggest a single Audiobahn ALUM12Q 12 inch, 1000W RMS.....just like the one sat waiting to go into my car once my Amps get here!!!!
