Skegness Fire, 16th August 2007

As many people may have heard Skegness seafront was on fire last night there were flames all over the place.
The Lucky Strike and Grand Hotel were burnt down, and windows all shattered in the LA Cafe,

lol jamie, do you know that they shattered all the windows along there, the firebrigade did it so that they didn't have to deal with blow outs its standard procedure i hear

And unlike jamie, i was actually there at the scene for four hours;) while he was being gay and making bonfires on the beach somewhere else!:doublethumbs:

im from boston and i could see it whilst i was at work at the hospital, 25 miles away! i played a gig in the Library, before it got turned into a topless bar, anyone know if that survived?

im afraid not, the ex servicemans club was the furthest thing across, there was another fire in skeg last night also, behind woolworths i think:O

Am I the only one that doesn't find the Grand Parade fire funny? It's well out of order if you ask me.

yeh i agree with u, i think its a shame as well as it being well out of order. its ruined thousands of peoples holidays and peoples livlihoods etc. people dont like skegness coz of its tackiness or whatever, but i think thats what makes it top of the list of "the true british holiday".
