speaker connections

how has everybody wired there cable to the connections on the back of their speakers?

im halfway thru fitting my infinity kappa comps but having probs connecting them.

Crimp on Spade connectors. Can get them from halfords/

i bought some but the wont crimp down. or atleast i couldnt get them to do it.

do you put the wire through the hole in the crimp thing, then push of spade and crimp using pliars?
