that kenwood one works with just your normal usb lead for your ipod if its a new one.

My personal experience of Kenwood is that they are rubbish. They make toasters for gods sake.

Stretch your budget to...

Hmm... Yamaha make harmonicas and pianos... bikes must be naff...

Well, with their experience in toasters, they make good pop out screens...

You said personal experience, so that's fair enough, but I'm very happy with mine, I've had issues with £300+ pioneer units..

yeh same, ive had good experiances with kenwood. there headunits last years, and are solid built and sound good. jvc ones arent as good, especially the lower priced ones, as kenwood

Have a browse around for a sony gt300 ipod kit. They're pretty good.

just wait and buy a better HU second hand. I got an Alpine 9851r for £80 and that used to be an awesome headuint 2 years ago and still is fantastic now.

cheers again for the replies.

ive decided that i dont really care about playing music off my ipod. but defo want a mp3 headunit. im not going to be using the headunit to power anything so wattage output aint really important. and my budget is about £100 and want to keep steering controls. any ideas?

p.s. what does everyone think of this unit? (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4840.html)

For £100 you're gonna be pushed to keep your controls, you'll need a stalk adapter lead and a patch lead which come to about £35, on top of that you have to find a unit thats compatible.
