hey, yeh it will run the the sub, but u aint gonna get the best out of it cos u r onli givin it 400rms wen it can handle upto 750rms , best 2 get an amp that gives it the full power for u 2 b blown away by the sound, i had a 12" as well at first and that rocked, got a 15" now , so if u got more money 2 spend on an amp then i suggest a more powerful amp

if u r gettin a 2ohm load then make sure ur sub is a 4ohm

I owned two of these, one for each L7 I had.
My birthsheet stated 470wrms@2ohms. It will go nicely and give plenty of thump.

I don't think you will be disappointed :) Like it was said above, make sure your sub is dual 4 ohm.
You can tell by the model numbers:
S12L7D2 = dual 2
S12L7D4 = dual 4
