im not sure it would do anything, I was gonna have a crack myself once. It seems the rattling comes from the actual cards so theres not a lot you can do with that. I dont know if anyone has tried it though- it might make a difference!

its become more apparent since i upgraded the speakers and now the rattling can be heard more than the music!

I've just stuck those square speaker sheets of dynamat behind my front speakers, seems alright.

Then again im running my fronts through an amp on the LPF so wouldn't vibrate with bass too much, my bootlid needs to be done tho!

Nope, hard drive reformat took care of that!

I'll source some more from my installer when he gives them to me.

I have heard you can use the felt like underlay you use for wooden floors my mate did it seemed to work.

Would filling your doors with sound proofing affect the way your windows go down

If you block the path of the window then yes :P

Also you have to make sure that they are a flame-retardant material

I got some of that ivanhoe stuff from the corsasport guy, ain't fitted it just yet but feels really good weighty quality stuff!

I'm gonna be putting the sound deadening roll on the door and as much behind the gaps where the window winds down, also some proper sound proofing foam behind the door panel, with some 3mm thick foam behind the leather/leatherette trim on the front of the door panel so from all this it should be well sound proofed!

so what is the total cost of sound proofing, both doors back quarter trims and boot? Sounds like its something i gotta do to make it a nice quiet ride

The only thing I did on the boot was the tailgate under the window, didn't do much at all...

To do back quarters you will need to rip up the carpet and the panels in the back, and it isnt much fun
