View Full Version : The 1.8 SRi's Replacement - 56k welcome
After selling my 1.8 SRi onto charlton_68 i got hold of a super clean example unmodded 97 Civic EK4 VTi - 73k on it with only 3 owners (one of which was a family change over) and a full honda service history pretty much. Its currently fairly standard bar a coded ek9 front grill, Honda JDM wind deflectors, coily's with front camber kit down 40-45mm, a pipercross filter and a de-badged rear with a couple of interior mods. It's a fair bit quicker than my 1.8 being 160bhp and the VTEC is a lot of fun to say the least! Anyhow just a couple of pics on my drive for now...

Looks good mate
nice honda!
any plans??
Will see how the camber wears the older rear tyres first and if thats ok it will be some 16" JDM wheels depending on price or more likely some rota GT3's. Exhaust will be changed as well in the next few weeks hopefully, apart from that perhaps an OEM SiR front lip :)

I was offered one of these plus like £300 for my Corsa but I declined as it was a bit old and had similar milage to this one. I'm not a big fan of civics anywho. But if you are happy thats all that counts
Hmm, not sure on that mate. They look fantastic with alot of money spent on them, the Civic Jordans are especially nice but as standardish they arnt anything special. Also I believe the VTEC engine is very expensive to tune, IIRC even a performance cam only adds 5bhp.
Yes you can get a Vtec controller and get them valves opening for longer earlier in the revs but most people go the holl hog and supercharger/turbo them.
im sure - jap realiability, 160hp standard + with coily's decent handling for under 2.8k (just over half the value of my 1.8SRi), cant really complain :) with little money they look good and outperform many cars worth well over double the money i paid. As for the tuning i wont be spending much on it as i might as well save the money for something better further down the line. Likely an EP3
