as some of you might have seen i've sold my irmy corsa so i've moved onto something faster :doublethumbs:

picked it up on friday and haven't stopped smiling since! spent the weekend detailing it which has made a huge difference.

Used;
autoglym shampoo
maguiars quick clay
SSR3 / SSR2 scratch removal
autoglym super resin polish
autoglym intensive tar remover
autoglym clean wheels
autoglym wheel seal
P21S carnauba wax
poorboys tyre dressing
autoglym fast glass

for those of you who aren't sure what it is, it's a 325 M Sport coupe :doublethumbs:

still getting used to the power. had a bit of fun with it over the weekend when a chav in a corsa b tried to race me

here's the pics, opinions/comments welcome

insurance seemed to be pretty cheap for me. working out at 690 for the year, fully comp with 3 additional drivers and a 300 excess :doublethumbs:

pure sex mate, how much did that set u back and whats the year/mileage?

it's a 2003, with only 49,000 miles which was pretty low considering most i looked at were near the 100k mark.

don't get me wrong it was a lot but i reckon i got a good deal on it being a combination of the end of the month for the dealer and there were a few marks on the bodywork which allowed me to haggle on the price even although i knew properly detailing it would sort it!

forgot to mention a big thanks for cleaning the wheels. the 3 hours was well worth it mate. i got them dirty when i went to dunfermline so went out to wash them first thing incase you popped up to the house  took me 30 mins!

TC is on in the video but did turn it off coming home when the roads were a bit damp. definitely need it when you're trying to put the power down and the roads aren't totally dry.

according to the BMW site it's 7.2 sec for the standard 325. i'm pretty sure they both use the same gearbox so the M Sport should be the same.

I went 100 miles on the motorway last night and averaged 33 mpg and that included i few bits of overtaking.

When i was out with Countdown and really hitting it i was getting 21 mpg. Overall not as bad as i expected to be honest. If you're gentle with it on the motorway you'll see high 30's

go for it mate. i had planned on getting a 320 since it was cheaper to run but this came up and couldn't resist

not got many plans to be honest. looking at getting a xenon kit, put my private plate back on and maybe debadge the back and thats about it for just now

yeah, i'm still not pushing it to hard in the wet until i get use to it. in the dry its not that easy to get the back to step out since there's so much grip

it's been pretty good so far. great all round car!

looks mint! Like the standard wheels as too, how much was it if you dont mind me asking? I have been looking at RX8's would be nice to compare?

i loved the standard wheels too until i had to clean them :cry:i was all set to go for a RX8 231 then i looked into one of the owners forums and some of the problems were shocking and some of the prices to fix them even more so. despite this i was still thinking about going for one. great cars to drive and the interior is spot on.

then i saw the beamer which was a far better prospect. lower running costs, greater reliabilty, higher quality, lower depreciation and still a great drive. as much as i still like the RX8 i wouldn't swap now. would strongly recommend going down the BMW route!

Craig said that the mpg is around 33mpg :) ..............the rx8's mpg is around 20/25mpg :( .

i'm now down to 26mpg with a mix of driving :( can see it being expensive to run but so worth it. in fairness when i was ragging it i was getting 21 mpg where as someone i knew who had a RX8 told me to expect just over 10 mpg if i was booting the mazda so definitely a lot cheaper to run

lol I've just clocked who CraigSxi is!!

Your the same dude that wanted the RX8!! What happened?

sure am :doublethumbs: too many issues with the mazda that put me off which is a shame since it's a cracking car. always wanted one of these since they came out so when i saw it i had to go for it. i reckon its a better all rounder compared to the other cars i looked at plus there's not as much risk compared to the RX8

craigSXi

its not really a 1.3. its a completely different kind of engine so not compariable by cc alone.
