Its not exactly a C, but its my car so I thought I'd post it in this "Your Cars" section. I'm on here 'cos my mate has the lushest C ever, so thought i'd post.
It has a few mods:
Ultra Silicone Leads
NGK Iridium Plugs
Re-located air filter
Back box with straight through centre section (gotta love the back fire!)
Japspeed de-cat
Racing Hart CP-035 15" wheels
HKS Actuator @ 10psi
I have Tein S.Tech springs and KYB Excel-G shocks to fit. Needs lowering as you can see.

MetallicG
05-09-2007, 12:00
Yeah I prefer the GT to glanza's, plus the gt is slightly quicker. Yeah I think ill be fitting the new suspension tomorrow or friday - gonna look awesome! Tints with a few decals would look lush.
Toms kit are very nice, but expensive!

Oh, just ordered an rx7 intercooler for it as well!
Nice. I prefer the EP91 (?) Glanza V though.
MetallicG
05-09-2007, 20:11
I think the EP91's look like bubbles lol. EP82's are meaner lookin'

These mods are causing it to over-boost and the boost has jumped from 10 to 14psi. So I need to figure out a way of lowering it.

Omg About half an hour ago an exact same colour one of these was chasing me and trying to blind me with his fog lights lol
MetallicG

lol wasn't me unfortunately! Although I have to admit I sometimes drive around with my fogs on...'cos it looks coolio.

Tbh mate it was blinding and I know alot of people do it but it could cause an accident.
I used to do it in my old cars but now I realise it really is annoying for other peeps

Nice, I really want a Starlet GTT. Shame it would cost me £12k to insure as a named driver though. :(
MetallicG
12-09-2007, 22:14
12k? I'm only 18 and pay £1500 fully comp in my own name! Guess that 1 year makes a difference tho! Defo a good quick jap car for the younger driver! Highly reccomended :p

Yeh, I did a quote on confused.com, and only one of the companies they search would even give me a quote over the internet. :|
Who is your insurance with?
MetallicG
12-09-2007, 22:30
Elephant.co.uk mate.
And I think it looks good Andy !
I think you need some blue ignition leads.. haha
MetallicG
12-12-2007, 22:25
Update: Just fitted a forge dump valve and it sounds the mutts nutts! And heatwrapped the standard air intake pipe to keep air intake temps cool, looks the bees knee joints!
Oh and whacked boost up to an astonishing 11psi. Get in.
Love.
I'm sure its a rocket but its just the ugliest car I've ever seen
edit: not your 1 in particular
MetallicG
12-12-2007, 22:33
Your mean. What do you drive?
Your mean. What do you drive?
I'm sorry I just couldnt drive it lol do you like the looks? I drive a bmw 3 series
MetallicG
12-12-2007, 22:37
Yeah I like the way it looks, looks mean imo. Thinking about getting a front splitter of some kind. And im running 2 corsa steels courtesy of Prads on the rear as my alloys buckled - so looks pretty gay atm.

Howd you buckle it lol
Btw if thats your corsa that does look sexy lol
MetallicG
12-12-2007, 22:45
When I say buckled I really mean one of the spokes cracked, not sure how, must've just happened over time. And that Corsa is a member on here called Prads. Looks awesome don't it!

Oh lol nah I dunno how you did that :P
bet mines faster  how much them iridium plugs cost you ???? make much of a diffrence ??
Disgustingly ugliest car ever.
How you can say it looks mean is beyond me, most of these are more unreliable than French tin cans, ... Saxos etc.
Forgot to mention, they go well ;)

One thing I dont get with these cars is right...
Its uncomfortable, unsafe, impractical, ugly, crap on fuel, I'd imagine not very cheap to insure or tax, or get parts for.
So why not just get a bike and go faster and save a bundle :?
MetallicG
12-12-2007, 23:35
Uncomfortable? My ricaros are quite comfy actually.
Impractical? Its a 3 door, 5 seater. No different to your c.
Ugly? If you think so fair enough mate.
Crap on fuel? Not at all really, drive it sensibly and its fine.
Tax? Will be the same as your corsa mate.
Insure? Cheaper to insure than my 1.2 punto was. Parts? Loads of UK suppliers.
Hahaha rofl.
Its true mate, 2 of my friends had them, they were utter ****e on reliability. Maybe your a lucky one ;)

I think you'll find its your mates that are unlucky. Tonnes of people run over 200hp on standard internals and gearbox without any issues. Just a testament for toyota engineering.
Also, it helps if you don't thrash the **** out of it, let it cool down and warm up and take general good care of it, which I somehow doubt your mates did.
Silly boy, my friends aren't kids matey, they are both mechanics. They also did take care of them. I've spoken to others who have said the same.
Each to their own and what not, but I personally wouldn't have one for all the tea in china.
MetallicG
12-12-2007, 23:54
Wow then they must have been really, really unlucky. Like, seriously unlucky. Or bought them from people who had abused the ****e outta them. I'm on the biggest GTT forum and the amount of people having problems is miniscule. Wierd.
And fair enough, I wouldn't have a SXi for all the coffee in africa / all the curry in india / all the weed in jamaica.
:?
Like I said, each to their own

A few more updates! Fitted a WEPR fmic not too long ago and more recently an Autobahn stainless mani and front exit exhaust. So my "spec list" now reads as follows:
Ultra Silicone Leads
NGK Iridium Plugs
Front exit exhaust
WEPR FMIC
Autobahn Mani (had it braced)
Forge Dual Piston BOV
Japspeed de-cat
Racing Hart CP-035 15" wheels - Rear
Speedline 15" - Front
HKS Actuator @ 11psi
KYB Excel G Shocks
Tein S.Tech Springs
Had it RR'ed a couple of weeks ago (before mani and exhaust were fitted) and it made 151hp and 137lb/ft @ fly running 11psi. Was quite happy! Anyway, here are some pics :

MetallicG
24-02-2008, 10:28
So far, none. Its a toyota mate! Done near 5k miles since Ive had it and had 0 problems. Very reliable cars so long as you change oil/filter every 3k and generally look after it.

I know, starting to piss me off! Theres been a sudden drop in price of both the GT and Glanza, so every man and his dog are buying them, illegally insuring them as 1.3N/A's and tearing about...its a real shame!
