okay guys or gals,
my wiring is fine, my amp turns on, my headunit works but for some reason my sub doesnt kick in.
before the sub kicked in fine, then...
when i was at a certain volume on my headunit it kicked in, then...
it kicked in when i went round an island and now...
it doesnt work at all.
i have checked my headunit, wiring, opened the sub box up and checked all connections. there is deffinately power going to the amp but for some reason the sub isn't playing!
any suggestions????
thanks james

the sub may have a twisted voicecoil. i had a sub with that problem and it did the same thing!

well if its a twisted voicecoil then you'll prob need a new sub! i took mine to an ice specialist and he checked the sub with a voltmeter or something and was able to tell me within about 5 seconds (free of charge) so you should prob take it somewhere and have it checked!

where I earth (under those flaps in the boot) there is paint, so I had to sand it right down to the metal. I forgot at first and the subs didnt work, however the amp still powered up like ur describing

Then try his in place of yours. If it's the sub that's the problem then his will play fine.
