    EGR Valve location and cleaning

I have had car on diagnostic today as emission light is on, and it is saying EGR valve is slow or something.

Apparently it just needs cleaning, especially since car has been parked up for about 4 months.

Think the fact the back box is rotten wont be helping neither, so that is getting replaced on monday.

What I want to know is where the hell is it and how do I get it off and clean it??? (an idiot proof stepby step guide please)

(someone suggested just chucking a full bottle of redex in with very little petrol and blasting it down motorway, but that sounds a bit dodgy to me)

    its a 2003 1.2 SXi, Z12XE

It's a silver cylinder bolted on upright with two torx bolts (not sure what size, sorry). It (should) also have a electrical connector attached to the top at a 90 degree angle to the car. They're *****s of things. I'm having issues again with mine after replacing it one year ago
