Has anyone any advice on this.. Mine has stopped working today! It doesn't even make the noise that its trying to spray water. Have checked fuse box, and thats fine. What could it be?
Nah i thought that at first, but the times it has frozen up before, it still makes the noise that its trying to squeeze water through the tubes. It doesn't do nothing now, just wont work.
I hope so then... I do like 75 miles a day going to work and back and can't afford to not have it working, not with the ridiculous amount of salt the councils think they need to lay down.
Well it's defo not frozen. I've driven all way to work and it's still not working. It is broken i think... how much are these to buy? and what would be likely to be broke? Just a pump?
I learnt today that apparently the jets can get furred up if you have a strong mix of screenwash in there. I'd also double check the fuse as I remember blowing the washer fuse on a Corsa C I had back in 2002, I'd tried to use it when frozen and the fuse blew, VX dealer told me it was quite common as the fuse blows to protect the motor from burning out if the water is frozen in the bottle.
My corsas washers stopped working and I looked at the manual and I could not find the "specific fuse". Where the fuse should be there was a smooth piece of plastic. After reseating all of the fuses and went to a local scrappy to buy a motor it still did not work! After looking at this piece of plastic (where the fuse should be), the plastic moved as i touched it. After playing around with it I found it to be a another cover with fuses underneath. The fuse I was looking for was there and blown. Replaced the fuse, tested ok.
I'll try the fuse... I did check mine and it looked fine (number 15 on the diagram in my booklet), the wire wasn't snapped and looked intact (connectors a little discoloured, but 7 years old car).
Could i get one of these from Halfords?
What do you mean by 'Furred' mate? It was the first time in months and months i have put screenwash in my car as well (at a 50% mix i was told it was cos my uncle mixed it lol). I normally just use water and haven't had problems ever...this is lame! lol

Just make sure that the fuse is not under that cover. Other than that it will probable be a trip to the scrappy to get a new motor (whick in on the side of the washer bottle).
Let us know how you get on.

im suffering from a similar fate at the moment, checked fuses, all ok. changed motor this morning, still not working. it doesnt even make that noise when you pull the lever back for the screen wash to come out... am i looking at the right fuses? (to the right of the engine bay) or is there another fuse for this held elsewhere?
I know that when the fuse for the rear washer stopped working in my car (before i owned it) they had to replace a fuse in the box that is behind the battery.
my car has been sitting in my garage for the last couple of months and i went to wash the windscreen the other morning and there was no noise.. where is the motor for the washer... surley it couldnt be a fuse on mine, it hasn't been used.
the motor is on the back ov the washer bottle jst disconnect the plug prize it away from the bottle slightly and pul out you may as well check tht the filter isnt blocked while ur on wit it jst pull it out ov the hole but prepare for a rather large puddle ha
i have this issue on my car aswell, i've changed motor, fuse and stalk and still nothing, where is the 'other' fuses located???
