what is the oil capacity (to max on dipstick) on the z14xe engine in a '53 1.4 twinport corsa?
also which oil is best to use like 5w30 or 10w40 as it says 5w30 in my manuel but my local vx say its 10w40????
Funny thing is, it tells you what oil you need inside the service manual for the corsa If you have the manual for the Corsa at the back in the tables it tells you all the oil grades and tyre pressures for all the corsa's in the range.
i wouldn't usually mind but my car has 40k on the clock and over the next two years its got to do about 60k a year hence i intend on keeping it to high milage to which good regular oil changes will be key to keeping it alive!
my reason for asking was due to the fact you would think v/x trained mechanics would know best! that's why you pay the dealership £50 an hour just thought that the booklet may have been superceeded with new advice

What type of engine oil would you reccomend for 1.7 DTI with 100k+ km?
I heard that for engines that reached a certain no. of km it's better to use higher viscosity oils.
Thanks!
