Yep, it certainly would, I've just done exactly that!

I bought a 1.4 SRi backbox off ebay for £20, it came today and I've just fitted it! I could swear the car seems a little more responsive now and sounds a little better too!

It looks better than the peashooter downturn pipe that was on before as well.

Maybe he's seen a afternarket bb but its advertised as fitting a 1.2 sxi - so he needs to see if it fits his incase the 1.4 has a larger bore, which it doesnt

Nah, it was the one off a brand new one...

The tailpipe looks as though it's facing downover on the pic but it's not. It comes out the back straight and looks quite good!

I have ordered a Pipercross Backbox but in the advert it only had 1.2 listed so I thought I better check with u guys the experts!
