Guys,

I already have a pair of spl's 6.2 and want to power these of an amp.
I would also like the same amp to power my current sub or buy a new sub.

the current sub is ok but not as loud as i want...

i thought about getting a jbl gto75.2 but nowhere seems to sell them anymore.

for 200 you wont get an amp to power both at the RIGHT power ratings

you can certainly get a 4 channel amp to power the sub and the speakers but the sub will be under powered

and if you want a sub out of that budget too then you really are limited to what you can get

JBL: GTO-1004e

something like that jbl in 3 channel mode will give you 200rms for the sub

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-gt5-12.html

that sub would do you but depends what power you want etc

pm teamspb he might be able to find you something for your budget

hope this helps

TBH,

I want an amp to power my sub and my door speakers and sound good when im driving.

but i don't want to spend 500 on it.

What would you suggest if i said im easy when it comes to money and can go up to 350 as long as it last and not break on me:D

My spl are good door speakers right?

been looking and if you want correct poower ratings then on 4 channel/5channel amps its difficult with sub powering

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-mrp-m500.html that amp
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/spl-dynamics-s-2002.html that amp for speakers
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/cerwin-vega-250-2.html or that for speakers

then subwoofer wise

with that alpine could match with this

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-swr-1242d.html

also before buying pm teamspb (amar) as for stretching to 350 he might be able to help you further than me

yeah what im showing is 2 amp setup

i kno you wan tone amp but to ge tthe potential your better with two amps you can run it of one battery

but if you still want the one amp setup the 4 channel jbl is ok

as said pm teamspb he might have a 3 channel amp whihc would suit your needs perfect :)

Hi mate, I dont think you mentioned what sub you currently have?

If i were you, I would go for the same setup as what Mike is going for...just on a slightly smaller scale for the midrange amp....

Rockford R150-2 2 x 50wrms (will give more around 2 x 60-70wrms) for the components
Rockford R500-1 1 x 300/500wrms

If you want one amp, you will need to look into 3 or 4 channel amps...but let me know what sub you have currently and ill see whats available

Mate how far are you from west london?

Do you know if the sub is a Pioneer 306c or Pioneer 307c etc? If it is they aint bad little subs to be honest! Just get it in a custom box and it will play lovely! If you do want a new sub, then something like the entry level MTX, Ascendant's, DD's etc are all awesome subs for entry level and will blow your middle of the range mainstream subs out the water!! Its all in the box!!

hell buddy,

west london is not an issue to get to, i live in berkshire and can drive anywhere into london.

How can i tell what sub it is? i'll go have a look now but kinda hard when its nailed into a box.

Guessing the only way to tell is take the sub out?

Well if the sub is good enough i'll keep it, only saving myself money.

let me know buddy, i'll go take it out now.
