If you have the passcode and can get the stereo back up and running, try disconnecting the battery for a coupla hours or so. Not just to stop the batt from flattening, the ECU may be getting confused and the disconnect might straighten its brain out.

Thankyou good to know ..will trying resetting ecu but think it could more of a shorting out issue inside the dashboard as apart from the airbag light being very faint when ignition of and keys out.also the highbeam light is very faint to.

you dont need a radio passcode for a 2005 corsa design, if you disconnect the battery
I keep forgetting that; my 2002 has a CDR2005, doesn't care what MFD it's connected to but needs a 4-digit code punching in when disconnected. The CD30 needs to shake hands with its MFD and brainbox.

Let us know how you get on, Dubman.
