I currentley have 1 sub, however i have another sub lying in the garage (the same sub lol) my amp is easliy able to power 2 subs but i was wondering if i can have the two subs in two seperate boxes, or do i need to but them both into a single box ???

not as simplae as that im afraid mate,

what are the spec of the subs and amps,

svc (single voice coil) or DVC (dual voice coil) are they 2ohm, 4ohm?

what ohm load can your amp support?

You can install them into 1 or 2 boxes. It depends on if the box you have at the moment was supplied with the sub and is tuned or if its just a cheap one and just goes boom when you put music through it.

as said a few more details need to be given...

When running sealed boxes, its a good idea to have them in their own enclosure...if they are in a twin box, they are normally ran with a partition in the box so the subs dont interfer with eachother...so 2 boxes are fine :)

Just make sure your amp can handle the loading the 2 subs will give
