My car has started smelling of petrol (well diesel cause it is a diesel!) It's only been forthe last 2 days when it's been hot, so was wondering if it was cause the sun heats it up or something??

anything leaking?, turn the ignition on and have a look under the car see if you see anything. Shouldn't smell diesel though normally.

wish I hadn;t bought the **** piece!! Has been nothing but trouble!!!!! Bf thinks it has a hole in exhaust too as it makes funny noise when driving... how can I find out?

try checking under the car with both the ignition on then the engine running and see if there is anything dripping down

emissions test at a garage, but as long as it dont bother you dont worry bout it till mot time

Only just had MOT before I bought it, so shouldn't have hole in it I wouldn't have thought. I really hope not, I wanna sell it now anyway.. it drives ****.. I want a BMW Compact!!

Just a thought. Pull the lower bit of the back seats forward an look for a big round thing in the middl. Just check there is no diesel there its the second tank opening.

put your hand over the exhaust when cold and see if any gas comes out from anywhere else.
