I've been having issues with intermittent starting in my corsa c 1.2 sxi 55 plate. Starts first try first thing in the morning, once it gets really years outside or the engine bay gets really warm due to the morning drove anytime after that for a few hours the car will not crank right away. Could take many tries. Tested the battery and that's spot on. Changed the crankshaft sensor. I've read that a possible fix is to run a positive directly from the battery to the starter.. can anyone vouch that works? Don't want to fork out for a new starter if it's only a corroded cable or loose cable. Any help us greatly appreciated thanks

turn on the ignition and pull it down a hill to turn it on, if it does not turn on the engine, to check the starter motor try to start with a gear on, if the starter motor tries to move the car with force it does not fail, if it is not capable Nor to make the attempt is in bad condition, now is what you say, wiring or starter motor, but I would do this to see if it fails

Check the stater main cable lose or bad connection and check earth on hosing on clutch housing bolts. Make sure they have a good connection. If turning it could be a vacuum leak. Or check the spark plugs could be warn out or wrong gap.
