Hi guys im new to the forums, and i have a problem with my corsa c. Basicly when i accelerate hard the engine kind of cuts out. Also a warning light came on which was something to do with emissions. I tried revving in neutral and its revved ok to 3500 then was really slow to 4 then kicked in again(the red line is at 6.5k and ends at 7). Have any of you guys experienced anything similar? I took it into a garage on fridayand they cleared the fault code but couldnt find anything wrong and to keep an eye on it. I need to take it in again but im having to wait till tuesday as its bank holiday. Any help would be appritiated. Oh ive done 45000 miles and just had the 5 year service done last month i wasnt sure if i need a new clutch as well.

Does it feel like you only pick up speed when you have quite a high rev count or not?
Do you hear like a spitting/misfiring noise from the exhaust?

Chances are your engine is misfiring, and the light is basically telling you the petrol consumption is too high for the rev count.

Sounds like new spark plugs are needed bud.

That's the problem I had with mine...

ok so theres several causes here. The light went out when they reset it on friday, but tonight it came on (it flashed till my car slowed down) and my car wouldnt rev past 2000 and my speed dropped to 20. Quite dangerous as it was a 60 road. Are plugs normally changed at a 5 year service? Oh strangley if i put my foot down the car judders alot and slows down.
