Hi all,
I'm having trouble with my heaters. they don't warm up properly, they will give the slightlest warmt but not sufficient enough. Can't cope this winter without them. I gathered it ight be my matrix heater.
I don't know what it even looks like and where its located. But appartently flushing them could be the solution.
Does anybody know step-by-step how to flush the matrix heater??, i figured i have to drain the anti-feeze i recently put in, any ideas??

I've been reading threads that say something about a bulkhead pipes. anybody know what a bulkhead is?

Im not a pro at these mechanical tasks, I dont' wanna do something that will damage it even more.
Cheers:wave:

Think it works using the engine coolant, if your header tank is at the correct level then youre heater matrix should be fine.

Step by step to flush the heater matrix.

Open car door
Pop Bonnet
Place Bonnet on the support
Look at the bulkhead ( the big bit of metal at the back of the engine below the scuttle panel and windscreen )
There are 2 silver pipes
Disconnect the rubber hoses from these
Attach hose to 1 of the silver pipes that go through the bulkhead ( see above note )
Turn tap on, making sure the hose is attached to it
Stand back and watch the pretty waterfall from the other silver pipe
When the water runs clear then turn off the tap for the hosepipe.
Disconnect the hosepipe from the silver pipe on the bulkhead
Reconnect the 2 rubber hoses
Remove the cap off the expansion bottle
Start the car
You will see bubbes rising as the water as any air locks are pushed through.
Top up expansion bottle if required.
Check the rubber pipes as these can fall off if not connected properly

Hopefull enjoy heat

Is that good enough as a step by step?
