Since i wired up my speakers i have had this whining alterntor noise coming through them. I have tried a loom isolator on the speakers RCA's, tried running a seperate RCA cable for them through the middle of the car not under anything. Does anyone have any other ideas i could try? I have my power and remote cables are down the left side of the car, speakers down the middle and RCA's down the right if thats useful at all?

yeah i get it too at low volume its nt very loud bt still annoying. tried an rca loop that got rid of most. cud try an alternator surpressor

Check you have a good grounding - connected properly to the amp, connected securely to the car, no paint or anything separating the contact with the car, that the cable is shorter than the live cable.

so the comps making the noise are running from an external mp in the boot?

i'd seperate power cables from speaker/RCA. also, i'd try a thicker earth awg wire

Seperate the wires in the boot? Im using 0AWG stinger stuff

dunno then mate. ive always heard its bad earth, and/or needs a supressor

Cheers mate. Il try earthing it somewhere else in the boot and also keep wires away from eachother...see if that makes any difference!

yea ive got the same problem atm, so im just runiing a sub as it does pick up the alterntor noise!

right boys i had the same prob as i had the wires running down the door sills you can leave the power cable there but all other wires put down the centre of the car as down the door sill there are wires which you are getting feedback from

we've already done that

I noticed that when I took my sub out I stopped getting interference through the comps

I think its because with a 4 channel amp all your speakers are running off one ground point
