Congratulations on passing your test. I did that (UK) in the late 80s but had to do another one (Spain) last month - theory and practical - so it's not a hazy memory for me (I'm just as much a bag of nerves in the practical as I was back then).

Sapphire Black and Star Silver, as you've noticed, were by far the most common colours sold. I've forgotten what the name is for your more tungsten silver/grey, but it's not super rare (nicer than Star Silver, imo). Less seen are Pomegranate (met crimson), Aztec Gold, Spearmint and even the blues. Although white was popular for the D, only the van people seemed to want it for the C (in the UK - quite popular in Spain as it doesn't get lacquer burn so much).

Hi there, bit of a random one but I'm working with Vauxhall on a video shoot taking place next Tues + Weds to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Corsa Limited Edition. We're looking for a Corsa C to take part in the video alongside some other heritage models and your car looks great. Would you consider hiring out your car from next Monday - Wednesday by any chance? We can offer a hire fee for the inconvenience.

Feel free to email me directly if interested: [email protected]

Thanks,
James Youern
