Fitting a Steinmetz grille (Pre-facelift)

//IMAGES NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR THIS GUIDE SORRY//
If you are planning to fit this grille or have fitted this grille in the past and would like to re-write this guide for Corsa-C|UK with new image please contact me (Si) Thanks.

--------
STEP 1

Remove the 3 bolts holding the top of the grille/bumper on.

--------
STEP 2

Using a hacksaw blade, cut the webbings connecting the old 'V' grille from the bumper and cut around the 'V'. Tidy up the cuts with a sharp craft knife.

--------
STEP 3

Fit the part shown (supplied) to the inside of the bumber with the supplied sticky pads. The position of this is approximate and not vital at this stage.

--------
STEP 4

Fit the new grille lip taking care to ensure there is an even (6-7mm) gap between it and the edge of the bumper.
With the top of the new grille sitting over the plastic fixings where the 3 bolts came out of in step 1, drill the 3 holes shown through the bumper and into the part fitted in step 3.
This part may need adjusting before you drill to line it up but it is not essential.

--------
STEP 5

Affix the 3 self tappers supplied.
Drill the 4th hole and fit self tapper.
Refit the original bolts to hold the top of the grille lip back on the car.

--------
STEP 6

Fit 3 of the plastic split rivets (supplied) into the holes at the rear of the grille and affix this part to the lip using the holes already there.
Affix the top of the grille using the remaining 4 split rivets.

--------
STEP 7

Stand back and admire your handy work!!
