It doesn't come off top ways. You will need to lift out the gaitor, unclip the white holder a the base of the shaft, once out of the hole, pop off the white clip and lift out the stick. cut the small cable tie and take the Gaitor off the bottom avoiding the grease as best as possible. Fitting is the reverse of removal.
