I'v got a major problem, i cant find anywhere to insure me. Im 18, and you can see what type of insurance im looking for above in the 1st post. I'v phoned around, my current insurance and every other insurance compney have sed they will not insure me with my mods, even tesco and quinn direct. Im sure i'v seen 17 yer olds declaring mods? Tesco sed they wont insure me because of my age.
I'v lowered by my car, got alloys, and a full cat back exhaust sytem? that aint too much, not much performance or engine mods there. Ok the cat back system is gona make a difference as far as they are concered but i'v even tried just decalring the back box only to see if they wil allow that but they wont??

Anyone else had this problem or younger than me and found an insurer??

I really dont know what to do now :-S

all the insurance companies have sed because of my age and because I have been drving for less than a year (arond 6 months) they will not cover me? :-S but i no that they have covered people from this site in the same situation as me. If i decalre all my mods and only decalsre the back box instead of the full system there is no engine or peformance increase ther. It is all cosmetic and aint even that much. I have no body kit or anything. I dont understand y they wont insure me?

na i'v bin fine with doing it. I didnt mind about driving around without decalring but all of a sudden my mum has said that she doesn't want me on her insurance unless I declare everything. And she keeps going on abou tit and its got me thinking about it. So now I gota decalre. Im thinking maybe driving arond untill i been driving for a year then decalring.

Because I really dont no what else to do?

 

Tesco change there mind all the time, if you keep ringing up one will insure you :lol: thats just how they are, but if ur wanting to go 3rd party i dont think hardly anywhere will do it with urs mods as you have 2 have fully comp

go with quinn, as they dont increase the premium for cosmetic mods. engine and suspension mods are allowed iirc as long as you have a technicians report on them

There right i with quinn and i got my wheels tints and back cox and rear lights and i pay £860 fc and i have only had my licence 11 months and had a accident within 3 weeks of getting my forst car

 

im with direct line 0 ncb 20 year old with the 23 year old missus and im paying £450 a year on my sxi+ and its another £80 with my mods!

 

Direct line wont insure me with any mods till im 25

 

Here at Adrian Flux, we probably won't be that competitive. I would try Norwich Union.
