Mines doing the same. No play in the bushes on the bottom wishbone?

I had no knocking but drop links looked old so replaced my drop links, knocking there.. put all drop links back.. knocking there. God help the annoying knocking that i could have avoided

 

wouldnt be as bad as my knocking still is would it mate? Getting it from both sides though

 

Mine is doing the same as well. Maybe it's Corsa's time of the month.

Will be getting mine on the ramps friday to yank some bits around :/

 

Both wishbones are knocking on mine :L Perhaps its finally time to get polybushes

 

Could be your Cv joint on the driveshaft?

 

Thats most likely the problem. Mine went last month new drive shaft £110 fitted

 

mine does this but only when reversing out of spaces etc where i need full lock... weird

 

Sounds like CV joints too

 

Could be the top mount bearings are seized
When your turning the wheel it's trying to turn the spring with it and makes the spring slip and bang

 

I have a similar noise on mine. If I open the bonnet and push down on the drivers wing I can hear it. So guessing it's the top mount. I only drive to work at the moment so leaving it tI'll after the new year then will replace them both

Top mount as in????? there is two parts to it the top mount that goes on the engine side and then the top mount that attaches to the front strut ?

Dont my track rod ends today, didnt solve it but made it better think am just gona buy a new wishbone with all the bushes in and hope that solves it now

Theres just soooo many to choose from on ebay.... surely there all the same right?

 

just make sure u match the modle and engine size n ya cant go wrong with the wishbones

the new allys are fine:
second hand steering rack but checked out fine:
steering column under a year:

still got a knocking noise when i go up or off the drive and over the drain dips in car parks odd and annoying
also when its frozen i have a noise that sounds like a cover coming off when i go over a bump but the car is fine ... only happens once then not again all day

 

U can get set for bout £40 on eBay look Bout first I can get the whole lot on there bout £60 drops track and wishbone

 

fitted new wishbone and still got the knocking noise, although it does feel better to drive.


Maybe top mount???? lol **** knows now...

 

Anyone know where i can gte the top mount plates that go on top where ya bolt the front shocks on??

 

cba reading thru all the comments but i had the same problem on my 1.4 sri does it do it whilst stopping and starting cos it was steering rack on mine replaced all sorts to find that out lol
