Me in 2040, somewhere in France, with only another 1200km to go. My 30 year old Nissan Leaf is just out of the picture.

At least most of France isn't extremely cold... Electric batteries lose almost half of it's performance in cold weather... You'll need 1 stop for refueling to go 1200km. They'll be looking, probably, at best 4+ full stops or many more half % quick recharge stops while driving at less than 120kmh . And you need to find superchargers available...

I think a 2010 Nissan Leaf is only good for ~140km when new. By 2040 (and it would be my kind of price range) the battery might make it to the end of the street.
