Ok this has been asked many times before and i've searched and read all the past threads but need to be clear in my mind.

so my car is dropped 30mm on eibach springs, next step is alloys.
Its a 1.2 energy.

What is all this about ET??

I know i definately want 16" wheels, would this cause any problems? would the car drive differently? what size tyres would be best to go for?

The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned in front of the true centerline of the rim / tyre assembly. This in effect brings the tyre in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the true centerline of the rim / tyre assembly. This will cause the tyre to stick out away from the vehicle...

Nope, 16" should be fine, again depending on the offset. The offset you are looking for is between et40 - et49, though some people have managed with et38 etc.

The recommended tyre size for 16" rims would be 195/45/16.
