Hey everyone.

I have cleared my MAF Sensor and spent the morning removing the EGR valve and cleaning all the carbon and replacing it. the car seems to be working fine i refreshed the ECU took it for a little drive and guess what??? the bleeding FAULT P1405 is back. lucky i have a brother in law that can do the labour for me, but honestly what do i do now.

shall i replace the EGR for a new part which will cost about £60 new. having looked at a few people with similar situations who said the fault came back on i do not know what to do.

last thing i want to do is replace the EGR and MAF Sensor and find the fault still there and be like £120 short.

any help greatly appreciated.

Think you can buy a blanking plate for the egr for a few quid. It leaves the engine management light on though so will need to plug it in to wipe that off.
