Unfortunately for you, here in the UK, no-one tries to replace the 1.4 with the 1.8 as it is far cheaper and less complicated to just buy a 1.8 (used cars are very cheap, but labour and insurance for performance-modified cars is expensive). I understand that in hotter, drier climates used cars are more expensive but, on this forum, there are people who have experience of putting the 2 litre or 2.2 in but not the 1.8

Many do swap from the smaller engines to the Z18XE in the UK and do not tell insurance about the swap. Their insurance would be void if they tried to claim though.
But as ozsubrosa said it is still cheaper in the UK to buy a 1.8 Corsa C than run a swapped engine legally.
You will need the complete engine, gearbox, engine loom and engine bay loom plus ECU set. As you have a Z14XE to start with the rest of the parts mounts, drive shafts, exhaust, cooling system will be the same. The swap should not take more than 1 day for anyone who has experience with the Corsa C and removing engines for work such as clutch replacement.

Yes the Z14xe and z18xe are the same engine group. The z14xep is a different engine group so if the OP had one of those he would need a lot more parts, mounts, exhaust, cooling pack, gearbox, fuel and coolant lines.
