As the title says, I wanted a towbar to tow a lightweight trailer with my Combo. I wasn't able to source a direct fit towbar, so I looked for something I could use. I found the towbar from a Mazda 3 which I've modified and installed, well I had to use the towbar today for a large trailer, it appears the towbar is solid! Took a bit of getting off the mark, but once moving it seemed to do the job!

Combo C towbars can be got here in the UK without much searching, but that's no help to you and you've found a fix. In Spain (where I'm taking my Tour and plan to return it to its original Spanish plates) a towbar has to be "homologated" to pass inspection - fussy gits. Fortunately, I have the original homolgation document, although I never tow anything. It keeps the "Malaga parkers" away from bumping my rear up to get into a space behind me, though.
