Yeah I've got a little bit of slack already though, so that isn't working.Undo the bolt under the bench of the bacskseat and when its got a bit of slack it should become unstuck but dnt pull the seat belt out too quick. if this dont work u may need a new one because the magnets are fooked..
Do you have a link to this Craigs thread? Because this was such a long time ago I can't see it around. Thanks for your prompt reply. The problem is the seat is already forward. All the way forward.
I just found Craigs thread describing exactly the problem I'm experiencing. I'll continue in that one. Sorry to boost this unnecessarily.
Thanks very much!!!Lap belt locked!
I have the same problem here with the rear lap belt. The only problem is that it locked up while I had the back seat down to haul some desks home from Ikea and now I can't put the bloody back seat back up because the belt has locked solid at it's shortest extent!
I note there's a hexagonal style bolt on the back of the seat near the top presumably where the reel is fixed. Does this control the tension on the reel? It's pretty stiff and I can't move it with a wide blade screwdriver and I don't want to ruin the bolt. If it'll do any good releasing it I'll go and buy a proper tool for the job.
