It happens at around 1.5-2k revs and clicks again when i let off.***

 

does it sound like its coming from one of the wheels? or the engine?

 

Mine did this, turns out it was a worn CV joint, I replaced the boot and filled it with grease and it stopped.. well its stopped me hearing it any way

 

as above, prbz cv joint ive had 2 new ones and there bk to knocking when i turn and yes when i some times accelerate, annoying but past caring about them now ill fix them when they fall off (Y)

 

Not sure where its from sounds like wheel more than engine tbh. Birds dad said it might be engine mount so shook engine like f*** but no play. Gunna jack front end off ground tmora n see if I can hear where its coming if it does it atal without resistance. Cheers for advice will make sure I check sounds like a cheaper alternative anyway

 

If it helps... I doesn't make the noise when the clutch is in and I hit the revs

 

does it happen when relesing the clutch like during a gear change ?

 

Nar it happens when the clutch is fully engaged. I basically touch the accelerator n it clicks n when I let off it does it again

 

does it sound mechanical like grinding metal ? (not actually but sounds like it )

 

CV Joint, if it was an engine mount bush it'd do it whilst not in gear id imagine.

 

Sounds like a slapping noise but only when the car is up to running temperature it idles bad because mines doing the exact same as this

 

Kind of like that only mines very slightly idling maybe yours is more advanced than mine. Its to do with accelerating. Its starting to click more than once when setting off in first. Really difficult to explain without hearing it in person.

 

Oh and it happens even when cold i think :-S

 

Mines started doing this tbh but not all the time.
