The clutch on my corsa 1.2 sxi 02, starts to bite 2 inches from the floor, but has to be about 0.5 inch from the top before the car will move? Also sometimes have problems engaging 2nd and 3rd when car hot and cold?, can actually feel it grinding in through the stick, this is at 10mph so not high revs

Also when doing a hill start, the car may bite towards the halfway point, and start to move, but then once clutch pedal completely out jolt, how many cylinders does a clutch have? Also don't like the corsa's fly by wire, the delay is really annoying, when trying to get away quickly, in other cars you can press the gas , and then just let the clutch out, you have to be ready with the revs with this electronic sh*t! Also the if I change gear and put my foot down the clutch kicks out, very odd?

Hmmm well I am no expert - personally I don't really feel to much of a lag on the fly by wire - its only a split second delay; I find having a fly by wire more useful than a hinderance but that's just me.

Usually a clutch as a master and slave cylinder. But like I say - I so far "touch wood" haven't had any dealings with the clutches on any of my cars.
