Corsa C Boot Lock Problem

Hi

This week I bought a 2002 Corsa 1.2 SXI from an auction.

Unfortunately the boot will not open. The key will not move in the lock, and stays in the vertical position. :banghead:

The only way to open the boot has been from removing the boot panel and pulling the rod to release the latch.

Will I need to replace the locks ??

Any help and advise would be greatfully received.

Sounds like the boot lock has been changed and you haven't got the correct key. Does the key work in the door?

I thought that but the key works fine in the door.

Even still, I'd have thought that pushing the button would at least open it.

When it is in the upright position it won't open, even if you unlock then lock with the central locking. If I put my key in my brothers Corsa boot it will go in but not turn, which suggests a new lock was put on and you haven't been given the key.

Wd40 I used on mine an turn it into the middle if u want it open when ur cars unlocked mine seized up quite alot but wd40 works everytime after uv sprayed it just wiggle the key around and it should give use a a can with a straw alot easier
