8/2004 onwards all corsa c's are can bus easest way to tell is by the stereo if its a 2 digit stereo eg. cd30 its can bus

as for the tid/mfd the astra g is non can the display will work but not properly. As yours is can bus the display is coded to the oem hu (some models only)

there is no real benfit from fitting the astra g tid/mfd unless its a sat nav one the gid and cid displays will need to be rewired to work in the corsa what isnt easy but do-able

I read on VxOn that if you have 6buttons on your steering wheel, then it's half CanBus, but if you have 4buttons and 2scroll wheels, then it's full... ? Maybe that's only true for the other cars in the range?

Have you heard the same flash22?

As for the onboard computer - found out yesterday that if you have a HeadUnit with BC or 'BoardControl' on it, then you 'may' be able to activate the onboard software to give you your fuel consumption, trip, range etc...

I'm still finding out more and will be taking my C in to hook up to the Tech2 to see if it's true.

Will let you know.

As for Satnav - http://www.corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=158299 - was VX installed when I bought the car, so it can definitely be done. I'm trying to find out about the connectors too. If I get a lot of spare time this week, I'll strip the dash and take loads of pics ;)

We'll see how much work I have on first...

it is possible to install a screen of MID Astra G in my Corsa C (which leads CAN-BUS) k've seen in later models can be done, the CAN-BUS prove an impediment to install?

Let me recomending options for installing the onboard computer in my Corsa C?

PD: sorry for my english

PD2: and it is cheap: P

I understand, my car is on the steering wheel 6 buttons on the steering wheel, not 4 and radio k brings, CD30, BC has the button.

According to read you think you want to reschedule with tech2 radio to activate the onboard computer, it is possible to do this with the display of origin (TID)

answerd you in your thread 1800sriy

wolfox. have a look in 1800sriy other thread your see the display you require. once you have the correct display you can activate the bc via tech 2 have a look here. http://www.corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=158299
So I goes to me? Corsa is my 2006, or .. after re-style, has a different radio, a CD 30 mp3.

CID is very cumbersome, I would like to install something more discreet, as the MID of astra G or similar, thanks.

The display in the picture in the link above is a sat nav display and it is the same size as the standard tid/mfd

As i said before find one of those displays (you need the ident code from a sat nav one) swap it over and turn the bc on via tech 2 job done

thats a cd 30 a mid is used in a vectra b and the early omega corsa c's use a tid/mfd and the sat nav in the corsa uses a gid (there are 2 types standard and double hight) or a cid whats the colour display

The bc does not work with the tid/mfd but it does with a gid display when activated with tech 2

a friend told me that I went to the Opel with my official number of chassis and ask, perhaps the controls are on CAN-BUS, but not the rest of the car.

This may be true?

the navigator (GID) screen could serve?

He believed that no.

Hey WolFox,

It is the GID screen that you'e after - I've got the photos as promised, but am quite busy with work today - I'll upload them in the next couple of days and you'll be able to get the serial numbers and ident codes for the part you need then.
