starter/alternator wiring at bulkhead

Hey all

Can anyone who has done the z20let conversion pinpoint me in the right direction if possible.

This is the standard corsa wiring that comes out the bulkhead to the starter/alternator etc.

This leads up through to a multiplug at the brake fluid reservoir that has a blue/white wire and a red/black wire

My question is, do I need to make use of all these original wires as the engine I have already has the starter/alternator pre-wired up through the z20let wiring loom?

Any help appreciated as always

the wires that you have there can be used with the new engine they just wont be long enough.

i had the wires on the engine then once engine was lifted into the engine bay i then routed the wires back to the battery its easier that way as you know which wires have to be made longer

God I'm confused. Think that I'm over thinking it now. I take it the heavy feeds are all just constant lives from the battery? So essentially I could disconnect them at the battery, pull them out and join them onto the back of the starter and alternator then when the engines back in place just route them back up to the battery?

Would that mean I have 2 wires on the back of the starter and alternator then seeing as I already have wiring connected to them just now from.the z20let loom?

i dont know what you have done it would be ideal to see a pic of the wiring on the back of the engine at starter and alternator. i remember it being very easy to do that part of the wiring so maybe your over thinking some of this.

Hi again lads thanks for trying to put me right. I'm sure this parts is a lot easier than I'm thinking it is. Took a coupe of pics of the backs of the alternator and starter for you to have a look at. Hope this helps

using the wires you have allready on the corsa that you took a picture of in your original post. connect those wires up to where they are on the block, remove the ones that are already connected. id do one at a time so you dont get the wires wrong. once there on the engine put the engine in the car then feed those wires back up through to the battery etc. if you want il get a pic of mine later so its easier for you.
