I could swear it brings up EML light when not working

You have to have pressed the brake pedal at least once since you started the engine for cruise control to engage. You also have to be travelling faster than about 16mph.

If neither of these are the problem, I would start by checking that the clutch pedal makes contact with the switch above it when it is released. If your brake lights are working then it's not a brake switch problem. (Both of these switches are used in cruise control).

 

good bet its the clutch pedal switch, that was the problem when mine was broken

 

Brake light works.
I've tried turning CC on after braking and going beyond 20mph...

Where exactly is the switch on the clutch pedal? How would I get it to work again as I obviously press and de-press on the clutch during driving so how do I solve the problem?

Get someonne with opcom to look at it.
You can test all the switchea and buttons relating to it though the computer

What if no codes show when test is done?

Where exactly is the switch? Anyone got a picture?

 

No codes.... easy way of fixing without taking to a mechanic to look at?

 

Did you use an opcom to find codes or a random code reader/pedal test?

 

Look clutch switch most likely, or your stalk has a fault - unlikely the wiring has gone.

I did a pedal test Mike. Not sure where the Opcom at home is but will check it through that next weekend. How easy is it to replace stalk if that is the case? :/
Wish I knew someone that knew about cars

 

Stalk isn't hard to replace but can be expensive even second hand

Clutch switch is cheap off eBay

Would prob need a op-com to dig deeper & Check if it's still active etc

 

Is the clutch switch a switch on the actual pedal or is it just connected but actually placed further behind or something?
Going to opcom it this weekend!
